5 - Taylor's Convocation Dr Du JianCong

One of my students got his scroll in this particular convocation at Taylor's University.

The ceremony was on Saturday the 12th of July 2025. 4.30pm. 

He whatsapped me on Thursday (2 days before) saying that "I am in Malaysia ".


He was looking forward to see me on that day (convocation day) and of course with a lot of photos to be taken home back to China. 

I only replied on friday evening saying that I was not invited to the ceremony. I wonder why. For previous two years, they invited me. I attended the ceremony because I have 3 students graduated at that time. My students. I was the main supervisor. Same as this student today, I was his main supervisor. Of course I should be invited. 

But now, nope. no invitation at all.

I am not the type to ask. No invite. No go. End of story. 

So he was disappointed, the student who came on thursday. In fact, he emailed to graduate school and asked why I was not invited. Such a sweet boy. Of course there was no reply from graduate school. Maybe they were not the ones who supposed to invite people like me. 

Later on, he decided to ask me if we could meet up at IOI city mall instead.

I will check my schedule. 

Anyways, Congrats to Dr Du Jiancong. I am so proud of you. Such a hectic journey for you.

6 - Fat or Thin, It costs me a Lot

 . . . Well, last week, I had an appointment at the hospital. As usual, timbang first. 57.3kg I was like, whattttt! I totally put on weight like 6kg.  The last time (which was my happy time- like 6 months ago), I was 51.3kg. It was the weighing scale at home. I was really sick at that time. In and out of hospital. No wonder that weight. So back to the story with 57.3kg. Ok. my height is about 151 or 152 or 150cm. I got shrunkcn over the years (my new theory). I was like not really happy because all my pants (literally bought like 11 pairs). Denim palazo. It was fine when I was 51kg - ish. Even in the process of gaining weight, the palazo still fits me. 4- Why do the Kids Address Me Differently

 . . . The story starts with my kids calling me with different names. Not because they have different appa, they just feel like it. Cit. Also, my fault. I told them to do so. Ahah. The eldest daughter (Along)- calls me - Mama /Mader The second son (Aiman)- calls me - Mama The third daughter (Maisa) - calls me - Mama The fourth son (Muhammad) - calls me - Ibu / Mummy The fifth daughter (Widad)- calls me - Ibu / Mum The sixth son (Alim)- calls me - Mummy / Mum It is complicated at times. But amazingly, when I talk to one of them, I automatically change my name.  Even the kids too. Example when Along (the eldest) talks to the youngest, she automatically says "Call mummy now". She will not say "Call Mama now". (By the way, talking about Along, she is always strict with the siblings. She is the leader.  . . . Well. Started blogging in 2008. Last week, all gone. My blog is gone.  Totally. Stories and photos from my trips and literally lived in a few countries for years and years.
